COVID-19 Information

Updated December 5, 2022

We continue to follow UC Merced and CDC guidance to reduce transmission of infectious disease among our users. You can do your part by obtaining relevant vaccinations in compliance with the UC Merced vaccination policy, following CDC guidance for isolation and quarantine, wearing a mask when community transmission is high, and staying home if you are sick. We highly encourage all trip leaders to follow best practices for field safety including writing a field safety plan. Trip leaders should include an evacuation plan in cased one or more users becomes sick during your visit as we cannot support isolation on site. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation to protect the health and safety of visitors and staff, and to revise policies in the event of specific campus, state, NRS, NPS, or CDC guidance.
